random old android phones (theyre fun)

hard drives random people give to me (promise ill use them eventually!)

shadow plushies (hes cool ok!)

ikea otter plushies (people knew i love otters, got me them, im committed to the bit now)

i generally prefer foss - i use arch (btw), all my phone apps aside from a few that dont get internet access anyway, i avoid stuff by big companies for themost part - but i understandit isnt practical to have everything be foss. if i didnt have access to whatsapp, i couldnt message my gf, any of my friends or family, so with things like that, i compromise - in this case, using a matrix bridge. also, if something is closed source but probably fine, ill allow it, but foss is my preference. im very passionate about it :3

it gets a bit rough with things like youtube, i love newpipe and freetube but girl google makes it such a pain with the constant IP blocks qwq

quite a few modern Sonic the Hedgehog games

some of the games have been quite mid (though i still enjoy anything sonic for the most part, thankfully i dont look at things very critically and can just enjoy a piece of media) but the soundtracks rarely fail to get me in a good mood!

im glad they exist for emergencies but i have a few reasons that i prefer to avoid them. theres the thing with germs, and also being on binary, things can be a little uncomfortable with gendered bathrooms, and urinals are the worlds worst idea, i hate that i ever had to use them! gender neutral bathrooms are a bit easier for me. they can be convenient at times but i will always try to hold it til im home if possible personally

i tend to be a bit of a yapper, very loud (theres an interesting reverse-masking thing going on there, which if anyones interested, lmk and ill explain) and tend to be quite rude.

really inside, im a quiet person, but i tend to impulsively speak and be loud, and say things i dont really want to say, e.g. being rude.

these are things i really want to deal with. when i talk less, and be quieter like i am inside, i tend to be much happier. does anyone have any tips?

I'm in the market for some good headphones, I dont have the highest needs for soundquality though. I like EDM, so clear sound and nice bass is nice, and I really like ASMR, so some good sound staging would be cool, though I need closed backs. I prefer over or on ear, and bluetooth is nice for me (it never gave me any trouble and is convenient to me.)

I would orefer the top headband to not be plastic - my mum accuses me of pretending not to hear her when I genuinely cant, so I've gotten into a habit of having one earcup off, causing many a snapped headband.

ANC is a nice bonus but I know I cant ask for too much.

The ANC Altec Lansing Nanophones seem promising to me, but not the Nanophones 2 as they seem to be a full plastic headband.

Edit: Immediately forgot I made this thread, found the aforementioned first gen Nanophones at a really good price and went for it, thanks though! Feel free to share recommendations anyway if you want, it might help someone else
