I. LOVE. RHUBARB!!!! It's One of the first edible things to grow in the year, the leaves look like giant dinosaur fauna in the summer, and after a few years you can split them and get two plants!

The helmets totally look like the Wu-Tang Clan logo.

Omg, I have to worry about the polar vortex also! From what I read, I think this latest (or soon to happen in your country?) warming event should put it to an end for the season. I've been getting info from this page for long term event info, like the polar vortex, El Nino, etc. https://www.severe-weather.eu/

It's been kind of fun to mentally prepare with this info, plus getting to nerd out a little.

I wish I knew more about flowing trees :( I've had great luck just emailing local professors/experts with plant questions, they usually get pretty excited because they get to knowledge dump on somebody new for once lol.

When do the bumblebees start to come out in your area?

Where are some places that I can get bulk white clover seed? The tractor supply-ish stores by me only have it mixed in with grass, or the deer forage variety.

This!!! I love the Xerxes Society! I need to save your comment because it really does seem overwhelming at first, and I want to let people know every bit helps, even a few flowers in the early spring or fall!

Nice! I'm in the US and it looks like silver maples starting to boom!

It's been warm for a few days in my area, and somehow they're finding dull, tan pollen!

If you're voting based solely on info from tik Tok, then maybe you shouldn't be voting.

To be fair, high school government/civics classes are probably so gutted that I'm happy when people understand the three branches of government.

You'll love this example of using native language. During the meeting where federal officials proposed the creation of an Indian Territory, the Choctaw tribe delegate Rev. Allen Wright suggested naming it “Oklahumma”. In the Choctaw language “okla” means “people” and “humma” means “red.” As a result, the area would be named Oklahoma Territory, or literally “Territory of the Red People.”

There are some arguments that "Homma" can also be a war title given for not retreating, but within the context of our racial history I don't think that's what they were going for.

What's your favorite insult to use when casting Vicious Mockery?

Get it while it's hot!

Does anybody know if I can get the Timperley Early variety of rhubarb in the United States? I love rhubarb, and this variety seems to be one of the earliest growing. The problem is that I've only seen it for sale in the UK.
