Setting up remote access for Jellyfin felt pretty trivial for me like 2 years ago when switching away from Plex. No hiccups that I can recall whatsoever. Except for maybe the nginx reverse proxy configuration, but the documentation made it decently straightforward, but that step isn't strictly necessary to get remote access working; that was just something I wanted for my particular setup.

And I wouldn't call the Jellyfin UI janky at all. I use it every day and can't think of any common issues I encounter when using it. There surely are quirks with some features, but I find them few and far between. I recall Plex having its own UI quirks back when I used it.

"Mmmmm, PFAS." seems like an oversimplification, given that the study's conclusion states

individuals reporting the use of dental floss had lower levels of serum PFASs overall, with the exception of PFOA, which was slightly elevated.

Not quite. You understood that the blue character was correct. You just missed that the joke was that yellow was wrong.

I think the point of the joke is that the yellow character has fundamentally misunderstood the statement provided by the blue character. They erroneously interpret, "All squares have four sides" as "Squares are the only shape with four sides" because they are not good at parsing rigid, scientific statements (since most people are not particularly scientifically literate).

I think OP's comics are meant to reflect the frustrations of conversing with people who simply don't understand what science/research/studies/etc actually say.

Reminds me of how Zeus cobbled together Pegasus from a handful of different kinds of clouds in Hercules.

"Hmm, let's see here. A little cirrus... a touch of nimbostratus, and a dash of cumulus."

I'd recommend Cheese (e.g.: apt install cheese) since it requires virtually no setup to start recording video and photos.

Open Broadcasting Software (OBS) also works for this purpose, but requires more setup, generally.

GIMP feels like it's still in the stage of being extremely powerful but awkward as heck to wield, like Blender used to be. Blender used to have a pretty unintuitive interface before getting a massive overhaul a few years back. GIMP could use a similar facelift IMO.

Noice. I multiclassed as a Monk/Sword Sage (from the Tome of Battle expansion) and had fun being my party's enforcer for a long, multi-year campaign. Most of the rest of the party were squishy sorcerers and such, so I was pretty combat-heavy to balance that out. Some of the most fun I've ever had.

Our DM was kind of a jerk but he was generally a good DM. After that long ass 3.5 campaign I barely ever played with him again, but kept playing with the friends I enjoyed playing with more. Constantly did one-shots on the weekends when I didn't have too much homework.

Oh boy, I've been collecting these for years. Finally my time to shine!

DM or reply if you want more stupid pictures.

I think I was fairly slow before learning home row typing. I just hunt-and-pecked whenever using a keyboard. We got our first computer some time around 1998, so I was introduced to computers a few years prior to taking the typing class.

Just a standard QWERTY layout. Nothing fancy.

I'm stoked to have successfully received and decoded an SSTV signal from the ISS for the first time using my cheap Baofeng radio and QSSTV. Took a few tries, but luckily the ISS has been passing over my area several times per day over the last few days, so I've had several opportunities to try it.

Got a nice amount of mileage out of it. Went to go trim up my beard yesterday and it just fell apart. The battery hasn't worked in years, so it only worked if it was plugged into the charger. I picked up the charger and the plastic case around the plug broke in half, and one of the metal prongs meant to be plugged into the wall fell out. And the cable insulation split open, exposing the wires inside. I could've maybe just replaced the charger, but it's some random proprietary standard and the blades on the old one have obviously seen a lot of use, so I decided to get a whole new trimmer.

Got the replacement today and enjoyed a good trim; shortest my beard's been in a few years. It's too hot to keep it so long.
