If I was to guess I'd say the purpose is to establish familiarity.. assuming this community migrated during the great reddit migration.. also i think it looks cool so..

ikr... I'm sitting here developing a love-hate relationship with someone who is completely oblivious of my existence

in the past 10 minutes i have had so many mixed emotions towards you.

I have come across your comments about 7 times and each time I either feel like fking you up or giving you a hug.

It's interesting how opinions of different people may differ or align depending on the context. Wars don't really matter if you think about it this way..

I propose a truce

Initially I was bummed out about not having internet points here like on reddit. However after considering the fluidity this offers... like being whoever you want to be anywhere you want... being able to migrate from one server to another... etc ithink I'd rather we keep it this way to avoid complications

I am working on a javascript client for Lemmy and I am unsure of how to use the jwt token in the login response to fetch a user's profile data (email/username/picture)

Hi all, new user here. Just wanted y'all to know I'm here from the reddit apocalypse.

Nice meeting everyone, my username is also my gamername so in case you get sniped by a scarrexx next week...

Also spare me the username jabs... I've already seen all variants of it (t-rex, scartrek starrexx, scarlet, scarsex... knock yourself out)
