My sincere condolences. As you wrote, you can't prepare for this and it will take a long time to process. IMO it's best to let people help out if possible and focus on the rest of your family.

Works (again?) for me.

On the other side, if you don't want to sell it, then gathering private data can theoretically be seen as theft, which in turn could protect your privacy. Generally, it would be nicer if ownership of such data would not be transferable.

Actually, things seem to get better with age, just not as they seemed to be before:

Whereas happiness was once considered to follow a U-shape – with a relatively carefree youth, a tougher middle age and a more comfortable later life – the experts in wellbeing say our satisfaction now rises steadily with age instead.

I'm quite sure that limiting access to information and communication is supposed to reduce and prevent any form of organized protest. That's why the Russian government is doing it in the first place.

Why do you think that helping the Russian government to enforce censorship is a good idea?

That's no 20 meter wide display.

Calibre is a Java application and available as a flatpak package. Maybe check how they do it?

I suppose that modding may interfere with the warranty.

The article is not about which filesystem to use or not, but about the size and contents of the patches submitted in relation to bcachefs. It seems that the submitted changes which should have been just fixes also contain new functionality. Though it is very nice to see how active and enthusiastic the development of bcachefs is, mixing fixes with new functionality is hard to review and dangerous as it can introduce additional issues. Again, while I appreciate Kents work, I understand Linus' concerns.

I just received this message from a band I like, on Bandcamp. I hope that posting it here doesn't violate any rule. It's also an interesting insight on what kind of influence corporations like Meta have on small bands.

Hey! Hope you're enjoying a chilled Sunday with good music and good vibes.

You may have seen our 5000-follower Facebook account was permanently disabled by Meta this week in the lead-up to our UK/EU tour with Acid Rooster. All our Facebook events, promo and paid ad campaigns have been deleted.

No reason was given by Meta (other than 'authentic identity' - which we provided on several occasions), they took £200 from our Paypal and tell us we have no right to reply. I suspect it may be the result of a hack elsewhere. The fight continues.

This has obviously had a significant impact on our ability to promote our upcoming shows on the platform that carries our biggest following.

We'd be eternally grateful if you could help us get the word out about the tour this week by sharing the links, poster oand giving us a follow on your social.

We really appreciate any support and shares you can give JP, Gary, Mike, Graham, Seb, Billy
