Forgot to attach the pic, here it goes

This one was probably the first or second perfume I've bought for myself, when I was just getting into trying scents. I used to drive the Caron sales attendant mad! But this was love at first sight. I hate the smell or smoke, but I love tobacco notes in perfume. This is very subtle too, a bit like if you're walking in a blooming garden and someone has been smoking a few metres away. And you're wearing a cashmere coat and the sun is shining, and it's mid afternoon on a warm day in October.

Old Shalimar is to die for! Again, quite different in the modern version

Yeah I searched the old formulas out back when ebay still permitted old perfume sales and they could be sent by post. That's no longer possible sadly

Some of the perfumes are so true to the original flower, it's always a fascination to wear.. Like En Passant for lilac or Carnal Flower for tuberose. As if the flowers are right there in front of you.

This mini is a bit battered, but the scent is still gorgeous as ever. I estimate it is probably the formulation from the 80s. I always thought of it as a very realistic lily of the valley, but this year I actually compared it with the real flowers, and it they're way sweeter. I do prefer the old formula, the more recent ones feel more diluted and watery, and don't project as much

Where I am, it's dry, sunny, +25C. Sadly I too am stuck in a office that slightly over air-conditioned

I'm still playing Brotato and have also started Sunless Skies. It runs pretty well on steam deck with a community controller layout. oh and the last game completed was Stray. I didn't get all of the achievements but it was a lovely game

Seconded, I want to know! I absolutely love Fleur de Cassie, actually thusbpost reminded me to dig it out to wear.

That doesn't look disastrous! and you have enough length left to correct the shape to something rounder if that's what you had before

Oh man, that must be galling. At least you know it'll grow back eventually. time to look for a new barber?
