Is that really racism? You don’t know the race of the person he’s talking about, and it’s making a reference to a huge historical injustice that did occur that it reminded him of. Is a colonizer a specific group of people you can hate? I’m honestly curious here how that’s casual racism.

Even if the dude’s roommate was English, is it racist? Because he’s alluding to something that happened in history?

Is it racism? I think you might be looking too surface-level.

What’s crazy about ranting in all caps though? What’s crazy is thinking that’s crazy, that’s such a flippant judgement call.

It is fucked that women’s rights have been so fucked for so long. Wish there was a way for these things to actually change, though, and it’s hard to have hope nowadays living in America where it’s still moving in the same direction with abortion bans.

It upsets me too. But to say men have their own issues and women have their own issues and that they sometimes overlap? Women have it worse for SURE, I just wish we could do something about all of it together. But god fucking damn there’s a lot of fucking bullshit going around.

I guess I just mean to say that I agree completely, I just wish we could do something about it, along with the uncountably many other injustices going on right now. I just don’t know what, and I don’t have the power to do much more than vote when I can. And I did.

Just got to keep grinding to survive and hope the world doesn’t end for us all, especially the ones I love.

Stay strong, you’re not crazy lol

But yeah, we’re going to have to pay the piper.

I agree almost completely. I just don’t want to give in to the will of the boards of directors that do their best to maximize the disinformation to maximize their short term profits.

There’s got to be more value to civilization than that, right? Things are real and truth has value even if meaning doesn’t matter.

I guess I just like to dream about what we could be, but it’s not getting any easier to believe in it.

Yes to all but the last sentence. We live and act, how can we use that best for the rest of us? Smarts have nothing to do with it.

Unusual maybe, but I wish it wasn’t so easy to accept it as just another part of history. I hoped we were better than this with all the new tech, but I guess old habits die hard. The new tech just seems to be a new tool they’ve been getting the hang of, and AI makes the dumbest sound less dumb to the ridiculously ignorant by choice. By so many choices I can’t fathom.

Hey, I’m trying to make fried chicken. I MUST today, for the sake of my future confidence and the joy of my day TODAY. I want to use chicken breast, thighs are too fatty for me.

How? I’m looking up recipes but they all seem so disingenuous. I know that sounds stupid, but I thought maybe asking real people would give me a better chance.

Chicken breast, buttermilk. Those are the only ingredients I feel like I must use. Anyone have any advice on the fried chicken? I’ve got regular canola oil, olive oil, extra virgin, and I’m waiting to visit the grocery store. I was about to go but I just don’t feel confident. Please, anyone have a list of ingredients worth using together?
