Fun fact: The Dallas Cowboys are not the first team from Dallas to play on Thanksgiving in the NFL.
The original Dallas Texans (not to be confused with the Kansas City Chiefs / Dallas Texans) played on Thanksgiving 1952 against the Chicago Bears.
That game was supposed to be played at the Cotton Bowl, but was moved to the Rubber Bowl in Akron, Ohio.
The Texans won that game, and that was their lone win in their one and only season in Dallas (Played in Boston and New York prior, folded in 1952. Last NFL team to fold)
