They by themselves collect a ton of data about your location and driving behavior

Android Auto doesn't work by the car having android in it. It's a connector that allows android phones to display the Android Auto UI on the cars infotainment.

Also, with modern cars, android is probably the least of your worries.

It will likely be disabled during driving but it's still a great thing. I got a big screen in my car, I was always annoyed that I couldn't use it to watch YouTube videos when charging. This might help with that.

Edit: Actually says in the article that those features will on work while the car is parked.

That sounds perfectly fine though

Any low cost item, though?

What about my 20ct LEDs? Or the 2.50 ESP32?

[–] sour@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago

That's not the point.

Is Trump handling the gaza war better right now?

You can get edible gold sheets for around 10 bucks. Goes to show how much those restaurant selling gold covered steak for thousands of dollars are a rip-off.

It is, but opt out is still nice. I have a work phone that I quite frequently don't unlock for 3 days. If it always reboots and I need to unlock the sim to receive calls again it's super annoying, and I don't want to miss any calls.

For real. I was watching them too much, installed a browser addon that hides the shorts button and disabled them in revanced. Usage went to 0 and I don't miss them.

It would be so easy for them if they actually cared.

And to be honest, the $5 Charge that they'll apparently donate isn't a bad idea to combat bots.

Hey there!

I just ordered the Voice PE to play around with, and I was wondering if it's possible to run the processing of Speech on a different device. I have a HA Green that runs my instance and I'm guessing the processing power is a bit low. However, I also have a small homelab server running that has a lot more power (Ryzen 5 2600) and it would be great if I could just forward all the speech processing to that server.

If it's possible, is there a guide for it out there? Didn't really find something unfortunately...

Thanks a lot!
