It will likely be disabled during driving but it's still a great thing. I got a big screen in my car, I was always annoyed that I couldn't use it to watch YouTube videos when charging. This might help with that.
Edit: Actually says in the article that those features will on work while the car is parked.

It is, but opt out is still nice. I have a work phone that I quite frequently don't unlock for 3 days. If it always reboots and I need to unlock the sim to receive calls again it's super annoying, and I don't want to miss any calls.
For real. I was watching them too much, installed a browser addon that hides the shorts button and disabled them in revanced. Usage went to 0 and I don't miss them.
It would be so easy for them if they actually cared.
And to be honest, the $5 Charge that they'll apparently donate isn't a bad idea to combat bots.
