I just wanted to give some texture to the conversation here.

Myspace, facebook, digg, twitter, and youtube all launched before you were born. They may not have been popular yet until 2008-2009, but it's very likely your dad has been using some form of social media for the last 18 years.

Just my opinion, but I could only see this being true for people who play modded Minecraft. The combat is very different, farming and food is very different, the enemies are different, there's a bunch of furniture in the game. There's a very good, built-in character customization system. It visually looks very different.

I'd need, like, 4 mods and a shader in Minecraft to get a similar experience.

Not saying Hytale is better or worse. But, I think it's done well to separate itself in the survival genre so far and it only just released in early access. If the voxel-type game isn't something a person generally likes, it's easy to look at it and think, "Block game is similar to block game."

Don't feed the trolls. Zelifcam heavily edited their original comment which made your reply look like it was stoking a nonexistent fire.

For my own curiosity, I decided to check the release notes. I thought it was weird that TrueNAS would remove SMART monitoring, but looks like they didn't. Just got heavily changed what they're doing with it. The new recommendation is to use a third-party tool which does what TrueNAS was doing with disk monitoring, but does it better.

The short of it is TrueNAS still has smartmontools binaries installed and still monitors SMART data from drives. Just doesn't have the dedicated space in the UI anymore. It'll still alert on SMART failures.

Link to Disk Monitoring in the relevant Release Notes (25.10):

How long is it supposed to take when testing if a Windows 11 update bricks an SSD?
