It doesn't help that media often portrays this incorrectly. Take the movie Lightyear, for example. Sure, it's a sci fi movie for kids so it doesn't have to be scientifically accurate, but the way they portray it is completely nonsensical. They show Buzz Lightyear trying to reach light speed in his space ship. Each time he flies around the sun, he goes faster, but more time has passed on the planet he left by the time he gets back. In reality, the faster you go, the less time it takes you to get somewhere (from some external reference of time). It's just your experience of time that changes.

Interstellar is at least a little bit closer (ignoring the whole time travel part)

Is the only difference between the 2 the O2 sensor? If you were to throw it on anyways, would it run but just with a CEL?

DST would lead to less light in the morning, more in the afternoon, if they keep it year round. Winter is already standard time.

Personally, I prefer DST for the additional light in the afternoon. Maybe the start time of every school and employer could be changed to be an hour earlier with Standard Time, but sounds a lot easier to just keep DST year round.

Spending overseen by the House Committee On Energy and Commerce

instructs the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over the program, to cut spending by $880 billion over the next decade

Seven western Wisconsin Republican lawmakers did not appear at an event hosted by the Wisconsin Farmers Union in Chippewa Falls Friday as farmers from the area said they were concerned about the effect that President Donald Trump’s first month in office is having on their livelihoods.

Madison-area U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Black Earth), state Sen. Jeff Smith (D-Eau Claire) and state Reps. Jodi Emerson (D-Eau Claire) and Christian Phelps (D-Eau Claire) were in attendance.

U.S. Reps. Tom Tiffany and Derrick Van Orden, state Reps. Rob Sommerfeld (R-Bloomer), Treig Pronschinske (R-Mondovi) and Clint Moses (R-Mondovi) and state Sens. Jesse James (R-Thorp) and Rob Stafsholt (R-New Richmond) were all invited but did not attend or send a staff member.

Not neurotypical? No need to get into specific diagnoses

"per se" (US) - people generally use it as "exactly" or "specifically", e g. "It's not circular, per se, more like a rounded rectangle". However, it actually means "in and of itself". I have a coworker that misuses this one constantly (and also spells it incorrectly) and it's become a huge pet peeve.
