The MIC wants forever war, they've gone out and directly said that. When Europe and Washington wanted more munitions to send to Ukraine, the arms industry said "We're not scaling up production unless you can guarantee that you'll keep buying munitions at an increased rate for 5+ years" aka forever war.

They just salty because the profit margins are lower than ICE vehicles. Many of the legacy automakers will fold as BYD and Tesla take most of the EV market share, they're the only ones producing EVs profitably and at scale.

I feel like there's something fundamentally wrong with a messaging protocol that needs new versions to support new device types or features.

Something like MQTT certainly wouldn't require that.

I won't be switching away from ZigBee/MQTT for Thread/Matter any time soon.
