I have an HP BW laser printer with an offbrand cartridge that I paid a fraction of the price. The printer screams at me about critically low ink since about a year but prints are totally fine and as good as the first day.

Maybe they dropped old coffee grounds on their fresh concrete sidewalk while getting the trash out.

I always have these kinds of thoughts when reading articles like this.

On a serious note , I am pretty sure they find this stuff at the molecule level then match it to the closest item.

This is an area where AI might actually be really useful in the future. If that's not already the case.

I was a happy Emby camper a couple of years ago. But Emby started to add features behind paywall . Jellyfin is a fork of Emby so it was easy for me to switch.

The year of Linux on the desktop is closer. Linux reaches 3% of desktops in c/linux@lemmy.ml

WSL on my work machine is a godsend. Otherwise I would not be able to tolerate the dev environment on windows.
