I got chased around the house by a twerking eight year old daughter with oven mittens stuffed down her pants. It was so ridiculous that I couldn’t stop laughing.

To be clear, it wasn’t really twerking, she just wanted to bump me with her artificial big butt because she thought it was funny. Which it totally was :)

I remember spending a lot of time with Unlimited Adventures, it was where I first tried writing my own adventures. The included story was so-so, but I spend a lot of time exploring downloaded modules. There's still a ton of modules available online even now, some of them over thirty years old.

No, it's just the wool itself :)
Though I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the colors switched from one to the next. It was a bit of a gamble how all the colors would turn out, since it wasn't very clear from the packaging how it would look like.

[–] thelsim@sh.itjust.works 2 points 6 days ago

Thank you!
I still have some wool left, so I might look into making a border, I hadn't thought of that. It would make for a nice finish, regardless of the amount of errors that might still shine through :)

I bought some very nice merino wool last year December with the intention to crochet a scarf for the last few months of the winter. Of course I completely overestimated my skill and dedication, but at least it's ready for this winter :)

This is my first large-ish project and as you can see, it really shows. It's made from top to bottom(in the picture) and I had a lot of occasional increases to compensate for missing a stitch several rows earlier.
It was a good experience though, performing the same routine over and over again helped with developing my muscle memory. I feel like I now have a much better control over the tension and can produce a more consistent result.

The scarf consists of a moss stitch and was made with a 5.5 mm hook. Oh, and it's really nice and warm :)

Your cardigan looks really nice, you have a lucky friend :)

And thank you for writing about your experiences. I’m not that skilled so I’m afraid most of it went over my head, but I do find it fascinating to read. There’s still so much to learn! :)

Cuddling with my partner in bed. Especially early in the morning, when I give myself an extra half hour to just stay close together for a little while longer.

Theme

The trope normally goes like this: a detective peers at a grainy CCTV still, mutters “enhance”, and the computer obediently sharpens the blur until you can clearly read a number plate reflected in someone’s sunglasses.

This week’s challenge is all about taking a basic little image like a logo or an icon and turning it into a proper, detailed, lifelike picture. It’s a cracking chance to play about and see how far you can push something simple into something brilliant.

This week's theme is all about blatant cheap knockoffs. The kind of product that rips off the original without any shame.
*ahem* To get ahead of the AI haters. Yes, I am aware of the irony :)
