When reading about European contact with Japan it's always weird to me there were converts. Shinto / Buddhism has done you well for like 1000 years and then these barbarians show up and you're just like "hmm maybe they're right?"

Also, for this reason, some Romance languages still use words derived from Vespasian's name for urinals.
I expected it to be some oblique reference, but in Italian it's literally vespasiano. It's always crazy to me when thinking about Rome. Some guy taxes urine and 2000 years later his name is still part of the vernacular.
I had no idea that this was coming out, and it sort of makes me want a PS5... And then I check the price and I think I can wait a couple of years until it's on PC.
I wonder how many in game days a speedrun would be while still destroying the Caretaker's Array? I want to dunk on Janeway's time to the alpha quadrant... Unless I have to run my engines on nucleogenic aliens like the Equinox.
Seriously. I want a personal HUD for navigation and reminders that also corrects my vision (like normal glasses), not to become a walking surveillance device / info mine.
I don't think AOC has that baggage. Democratic voters want someone that isn't a corpo-centrist running like being not-Trump is enough. Every argument that can be made against AOC could have been made against Obama in 2006 too, but he had a message that resonated and won. AOC could be in a good position to do something similar. I'd sure vote for her, even if she's become more mainstream she's still miles ahead of every other likely candidate.
Yeah, I also have this question. I loved playing 1 and 2 co-op but 3 and pre-sequel didn't hold my attention at all. I'm happy to see good reviews but I'd like to hear a review from someone that doesn't lose their access if they pan it...
I agree the Metron connection didn't need to be made so explicit. Would've been better if it was if-you-know-you-know about the lights, but I guess that would be unsatisfying to anyone unlikely to wiki things after the fact.
Anyway, also agree this was a great episode regardless. Couldn't help tear up when the Gorn died, which is not where I expected to be today.
RIP.
I don't really care what color they are when they are long as your palm and flying at your face.
Agreed. It's one thing if it's climate change or something where we at least need to put a plan out there even if there's zero chance of it happening, but for basic common sense stuff like this don't bother. If we ever get back to trying to make average American lives better with the government, this is low hanging fruit.
Nah man, BG3's release was a phenomenon. I had people who are barely gamers casually start talking about D&D party dynamics and how nice it was to have a game focused at adults. I don't think Larian was even prepared for it to be such a slam dunk.
