If they rejected you they were never the "love of your life" to start off with.

It takes two to tango, you know.

Separately, we should live in a world better than using people so explicitly.

That would be great... but it's wishful thinking.

The Achilles heel of the libertarian left has always been realpolitik - that's just what the historical record shows. All historical "cells of resistance" - from the Iga and Koga province rebellions in medieval Japan to modern-day Exarcheia in Greece - only existed thanks to political chaos caused by power vacuums. Once the political chaos became stabilised, their days were numbered. Therefore, it stands to reason that the only way to secure the future of such a "cell of resistance" is to ensure the political chaos does not subside.

There is only one way I can see of accomplishing that, and that is to ensure there are plenty of enemies around to play off against each other.

It's a very tall order, to be sure - but not nearly as tall as simply hoping that the status quo meekly accepts the existential threat you pose to it's existence once it re-establishes itself.

The SDF shot itself in the foot by defeating ISIS - just like the Makhnovists shot themselves in the foot by defeating Wrangel's white forces. The enemy of your enemy will only stay your "friend" as long as their enemy still exists.

I guess this is what they mean by "All-American Hero," eh?

mediated by Washington and Paris and later endorsed by Ankara

Yeah... that's not "integration." That's surrender.

The SDF might not have had much of a choice in the matter, but let's call a spade a spade.

So Rojava joins the long, long line of inspiring "cells of resistance" that ultimately couldn't survive the machinations of power. Time to go back to the drawing board, methinks.

You know, as opposed to WASPS... who just lie to everybody about everything as a matter of course.

Taking out the trash is illegal, apparently.

Gee, and here I was, thinking liberal elites invented fascism because they loved socialism so much.

I guess the joke is on me, eh?

Of course not. That’s what ICE is for.

Soooo... what Captain America up there is really saying is that they won't interfere with ICE sending it's goons to the polls.

and with believing political violence is justified towards targets such as Charlie Kirk or Donald Trump

I mean... it's not exactly a lie. I, too, believe the use of lethal force against people like Charlie Kirk and/or Donald Trump is perfectly justified.

If I got a dollar every time some lazy liberal wannabe-journalist assumed the term "unlawful" was in any way relevant to any US regime I'd be set for life.

As anyone with any knowledge about South African domestic politics already knew, the ANC-regime's ICJ case against Israel is all bark and no bite - little more than political grandstanding.
