Those kinds of classes do seem to be going away. I did technical drawing and wood shop before high school. I didn't take any more, but I know some went on to foundry, automotive, and welding.

Seems like the eye was fine until humans stopped getting as much light in their day as they used to. Myopia is on the rise, and studies indicate that the eye tends to elongate when eyes don't get as much light as we evolved getting.

I would guess then that a lot of nutrition labels ought to be updated, since these digested thickeners would no longer be considered calorie free.

Insectivores overall did pretty well, didn't they? Also, interesting that it is possible that a good portion of them could have been (at least in one of the hemispheres) just tadpoles at the time. Too bad the article covers so little about what makes frogs different from what didn't survive. Not too big, not too small doesn't seem like a very thorough answer.
