A good article and interesting read. Like the titles of the other articles on the website

This is a good find. Thank you for sharing.

OK. Is there a web service that does this or do I have to run my own service and make the redirects myself?

Same as above:

Can I create a CNAME record to point a subdomain to a webpage e.g. blog.example.com -> example.com/blog?

I would also like to know if I can do this to point subdomains to webpages on different websites.

e.g. bluesky.example.com -> bsky.app/profile/example.com

It is though. That is the literal definition of opportunity cost.

Also with first name Ford, e.g. Ford F-150.

If China does it it is Tyrannical Communism. If the US does it it is Capitalistic Freedom.

Would like to see Canada Post survive this. Post is changing so Canada Post should too.

They still did it though. Such a loss.

3 straight majority governments.

Yet I still see the complaint that high immigration + cheap labour is "CoMmUnIsM".

And worse of all the courts did nothing about it. But the courts would be very happy with protecting shareholders of private and publicly traded companies.

He could. The George VI, King of Pakistan declared war on George VI, King of India in 1947.

This is great. Looks like the communist version of the "smartest picture in history". Would like a print of this.

Trying to move away from FireFox.

I know that there is LibreWolf and GNU IceCat.

What are the pros and cons for each?

I tried GNU IceCat and I don't know how to install extensions. How to get extensions for GNU IceCat? Is it easier on LibreWolf?

I need the following extensions:

  • ublock origin
  • send to MPV player
  • privacy badger
  • Distraction free youtube
  • Unhook
  • LeechBlock NG
  • Privacy Badger
  • Tab Session Manager
  • KeePassXC-Browser

The login interface only allows login with mastodon servers.

My only account is this lemmy.ca account.

Will it be possible to add login options for lemmy and other activity pub server software (e.g. friendica, peertube, etc)?

Hello All!

Thank you for using the Ottawa sublemmy. There has been a significant growth in users recently and I would like to recruit some new moderators for the community.

I would also like to have a francophone be a member of the mod team.

Please reply if you're interested, will then reach out over DMs.

Edit:

What the role will be:

  • Minimal commitment
  • Be present on the forum
  • Remove content that doesn't abide be rules set for the sublemmy

So far, the community is running well without much intervention, I suspect more eyes will be needed as new people come in.

Also, having a francophone would allow the same policy be upheld for both official languages.

I am looking for a stainless steel insulated bottle. Preferred size is 500 mL.

The nearest store to me sells Hydro Flask.

I would like some other recommendations.

Some of my own research so far: Hydro Flask is owned by Helen of Troy (Nasdaq: HELE). I have come across Klean Kanteen, they seem like a good company but I'd have to ship in because it is not in store.

Ideally I'd like to support a company that is a co-operative or B-corp and not owned by a conglomerate traded on the Nasdaq/NYSE.

Obviously Canadian is preferred if possible.

This is probably meta, but I'd like to know what are the boards in the picture in the banner of the sublemmy?
