I personally think that the main problem is bad search optimization. There quite a lot of good answers on Fediverse (Lemmy) but it is nearly impossible to find them via Google or any other regular search engine. And making things worse since Lemmy is Federated it is not easy to implement correct indexing for it. So it makes a lot of questions(Should each instance index only local posts to prevent duplicated search results? What about small instances? Or use some central instance like Lemmy.World? What about different frontends for same instance like Photon or Alexandrite?).

Where are you?

Try Pixel Tablet based on Pixel 7 chipset. All pixel device have easily unlockable bootloader with ability to use AVB on custom ROMs and 7 years of support. You can install GrapheneOS on it which is the best ROM in terms of security & privacy and have all features that LineageOS has (+ sandboxed Google Play). It also support USI 2.0 styluses.

ADB and Android Studio works perfectly with any other Android phone, so I think it is likely not PC issue. Small files and apps can also be pushhed/installed

Fedora 41 with latest adb from repos

[–] user_naa@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I can't do it until I formatted data. After it file can be downloaded from net, but adb still fails.

Yes, didn't help

[–] user_naa@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Yes, but it crashes with "connection reset" if app is big enough.

[–] user_naa@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (3 children)

Yes, I can even shell into it or pull/push small files

It will be very inconvenient to transfer app via KDE Connect on every Android Studio build

I edited post to explain why I need ADB

Hello! I recently faced an issue trying to upload big file to Android tablet. It doesn't detect with MTP so I tried to push it via ADB. But I get this error:

$ adb push myfile /sdcard
adb: error: 65544-byte write failed: Success

How can I fix it? Why is this happening? Storage space is enough:

EDIT: I want to use it for app devlopment, so I need ADB or quick MTP for app installing.

Hello! I am on Fedora 40 KDE Edition (Wayland). I have monitor with two supported refresh rates (60, 50 Hz). How can I set custom refresh rate? I know, on Windows you can use CRU.

Hello! Halt on Linux is disabled for average user by default. It will try to request sudo/root password and if fails returns:

sasha@fedora:~$ systemctl halt
Call to Halt failed: Access denied

How can I make same behavior for poweroff action? I know it is possible somehow via PolicyKit rulle

Hello! I have a very old PC with intel i915 graphics, which doesn't correctly display KDE and shows a lot of bugs. I know it is possible to switch to software acceleration in X server. On NVdia I can pass nouveau.noaccel=1 to kernel. So how can I disable hardware acceleration here? Maybe this is possible via Xorg config?

Hello! I need to create a VM and passthrought some host USB port to it. Sadly libvirt doesn't support QEMU built-in feature to use -hostport argument (which was added 10 years ago...). I tried to add custom arguments to domain (qemu:commandline) but this didn't work. When I just run qemu-system-x86_64 -device host-usb,hostbus=X,hostport=Y -usb everything works well. It seems like libvirt restricts some QEMU actions. How can I fix this? OS: Debian 12

Hello! Share good casual libre android games if you know any

Last two weeks every time I use Piped I am getting error "Sign in to confirm you are not a bot". It happens on every instance and videos work very rarely. It seems like Google enforces you to log in if you try watch lot of videos from one IP. I hope this will not be end of Piped and there will be solution for this problem.

Upd. I got similar problem on Invidious recently

Is there any good alternative to parted, that I can use in scripts? Parted main problem is that it requires user confirmation one each action.

Hello! What is the best alternative to Telegram channels in Fediverse? I need platform where I can post messages in different topics and users can subscribe to them.
