How the NYC subway is deep cleaned: https://www.thecity.nyc/2023/8/29/23851028/water-main-break-subway-flooding

Sorry couldn't help myself.

There's a few that focus around inventory management. Backpack Hero and Dredge come to mind.

Most trips I don't use the cart, I also just do short walks on a semi daily basis for most things. I was just pointing out it's still possible to do big trips without a car. I mainly cart for the bulky/heavy items. Bags of rice, paper towels, cat litter, etc. Or if I'm doing a bigger trip to a specialty market across town like an Asian grocer.

Oh for sure, there's a premium you're paying. And (hopefully) you'll end up saving money by delaying another laptop purchase by doing an upgrade instead. Or at the very least break even and just be a bit more environmentally friendly.

I'm interested in Framework's new laptop with an upgradable GPU. That's one my biggest gripes with gaming laptops, GPUs can be outdated pretty fast compared to the rest of the system. I know it has been tried by other companies before, but upgrading is Framework's entire business model so it has a better chance of succeeding then a one-off laptop by a different company.

Yea, depending on the city, it's definitely about wealth. I think that was their intention by listing the median household income.

How much trouble does winter weather cause for folks in Detroit who do not have cars? How close to downtown Detroit do you need to be to still have an acceptable amount of freedom of movement without needing a car?

From personal experience living in Denver (we get roughly the same snowfall as Detroit). I found driving in the snow much more annoying then walking/taking the bus.

I'm guessing Detroit's lack of car ownership is partly due to income.

Does it? Los Angeles looks worse than New York City while having less than half the people. I imagine it's going to correlate more with amount of cars and distance cars drive.

No? Set termostat to a lower temp in the winter so the heater doesn't stay on as long. Higher temp in the summer so the AC doesn't stay on.

Another reason to keep it closer to the outdoor temp is clothing. I loathe places in the winter that have the heat cranked up, I dressed for the cold, I don't want to melt because businesses crank the heat up to 80F for some reason. Same with the summer, I'm shivering cause I dressed for 90F but inside is in the high 60's.

Had that exact issue with my first SteamDeck, I was able to RMA immediately. This was near launch which makes it understandable. But it's disappointing to hear they're still sending units out like this.

Try setting RADV_PERFTEST=rt in system options->environment variables in Lutris.

You could also update to Mesa 23.2 since it has raytracing enabled for all games by default.

What does it mean by AMD support is unclear? You just need mesa which is included by default in most distros. Which is clearly included since it supports the SteamDeck.
