"Well, it seems his lungs are completely filled with Owens Corning fiberglass insulation. One third of his body weight is Owens Corning fiberglass insulation. But don't worry, he won't burn in hell... thanks to all that Owens Corning fiberglass insulation."

https://github.com/ChrisTitusTech/winutil is a good option for de-bloating and disabling a lot of the crap. Includes a nice installer similar to Ninite that uses chocolatey or winget. Or just nuke it and throw Windows 10 on it. You can use it unregistered with a few caveats.

Hey now. Some of us may get sick or die, but at least we'll have an overpriced yet somehow super cheaply made satellite security system operated by a ketamine addict.

Wait...

This almost feels like a Mitch Hedberg joke.

Yes. Yes they are. It's the same talking points just in a handheld form factor this time. You can get access to a library spanning decades, you can tinker if you want to but don't have to, online multiplayer is free for most games, etc. I was considering picking up a Steam Deck at one point just to have a handheld linux machine that I could game on if I wanted to. Same reason I have a PC instead of an Xbox or PlayStation.

Consoles will always have their place, too. Particularly Nintendo with their exclusive games. And I totally get why some people might prefer a console for the relative ease of use and the plug and play nature of things. I still get frustrated with some things on PC and I've been gaming on one for over 20 years at this point. But PC is still a competitor to traditional consoles and the platform as a whole, not necessarily one handheld, are going to competition for the Switch 2.

Even Spock would lose it at that dog when it laughs at you for missing.

I had an iPod Touch for years. It wasn't really a smart 'phone' though. My first real smartphone was a Nokia Lumia 640 with Windows Phone 8 (later Windows Phone 10). My family got four of them for $25 a piece on AT&T Go and I unlocked them all. I HATED Windows 8 on desktop, but I still appreciate how different Windows Phone was from the boring iOS and Android designs.
