It's more secure to come up with a set of nonsense answers to those questions and save them in the notes in a password manager, or just memorize them.

You don't want someone who knows those details about you to be able to just hijack your accounts.

Succulents are really hard to kill. I still find ways somehow.

Unfortunately, both this community and the shitposts community allow people to post whatever, per the community rules. This one has no rule about what a meme is, and shitposting explicitly allows whatever.

I used to care too, but it's just wasted effort.

Considering there have already been news stories of AI chatbots telling users to kill themselves and feeding into suicidal ideation, it is absolutely not a reliable fact that the AI will not cause further harm.

Edit: It's also not just a problem with suicidal ideation. The founder of Business Insider recently wrote a post on his blog about "using AI to generate an AI news room cast". He openly admits to making comments to the female AI newscaster he created that would definitively be sexual harassment irl. The damn thing complimented him on his directness, reinforcing this creepy asshat being a sex pest to the point that he saw nothing wrong or embarassing about posting about this shit publicly.

I believe with the hourglass you get an icon in the top left. That's usually how the game shows effects with time components.

I just spent roughly 15 hours in a car over the past couple of days listening almost entirely to sesame street music. I can hear it in his voice.

Get out of my head.

Oh, that's a deep cut.

For those not in the know, HP meters in Diamond and Pearl (I think also in Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, and maybe Black and White 1 and 2) were animated based off the actual HP number instead of the proportion visually. So it wasn't "remove 29 HP which is 1/5 of the HP at 3 pixels per frame" it was "remove exactly 29 HP at 1 HP per frame" even if 1 HP was smaller than a pixel.

It meant that HP bars for creatures with more HP literally took longer to animate, even if it was a one hit KO where it didn't have to calculate the remaining health or amount of pixels left to show or anything.

The best response to the "challenge" in the second image I've seen was a furry fetish digital artist that went into the woods and used a stick, a knife, and a lighter to make a big titty dragon lady charcoal drawing on a rock.

The line between "assisted by tools" and "the work was done by the tools" can be fuzzy as tech keeps advancing, but AI image generation is quite clearly past that line.

Just idle curiousity: Any particular reason for iocaine vs. any of the other similar projects (found this list on the iocaine homepage) out there?

What's your favorite pronoun candy?

I always get a kick out of goofy ass edits of right wing, facebook tier "memes"

So I'm coming back to the game after a two year break. I didn't get too deep into the game before, mostly doing low level combat and trading.

I was wondering what resources people more familiar with the game would suggest I check out for getting into some of the other content like mining, exobiology, and exploration. I'd like to take a shot at the basics of the different gameplay loops/styles before I start trying to get into the deeper content like engineering.

Unfortunately a lot of guides I've found seem to focus on maximum optimization before you even try to get into the content. I don't want to do an engineering grind, or grind to get an FC, before I figure out if I even like the type of gameplay it's going to make easier.

We've heard the anguished screams of the Funhole community for an alternative to the Funhole Times. For a hard hitting publication unafraid to dig deep, unrestrained by concepts like "common sense", "integrity", "anti-treason laws", "libel lawsuits", and "basic measures of competence".

We're proud to bring you a snippet of the inaugural issue of the Funhole Gazette, and we hope some competition will drive us all to make even better content in the new year!

We also vigorously deny any allegations of sabotage of the Funhole Times facilities.

New Ed! Not much particularly new info, just a general lament and summary of the state of tech and how much has been pinned on magical thinking. Has some wonderfully quotable sections.

What if what we're seeing today isn't a glimpse of the future, but the new terms of the present? What if artificial intelligence isn't actually capable of doing much more than what we're seeing today, and what if there's no clear timeline when it'll be able to do more? What if this entire hype cycle has been built, goosed by a compliant media ready and willing to take career-embellishers at their word?

Please forgive my addition to the title, as it's meant to be a play on "Waiting for Godot", not a comment on the Godot game engine. Wanted to make that more clear than the title alone would.

Like all the best technology departments, I'm a one man army rockstar. That's a problem when I'm a bottle of everclear deep into my holiday plans, and I don't think I can get away with hiding another replacement cellphone in the budget if I throw mine in the lake again.

So how do you guys keep everything running while you're out?

This old youtube poop has ruined Le Mis for me. Sends me into the giggles. Can't believe this poop is 11 years old. An absolute classic from DaThings.

Prisoner 24602064^5^1! You're no one. Lol. Your time is up ^and your time is up^ and I'm Javert! You know what that means.

It means I'm free~e~e^e^e~e~e^e^e~e~e^e^e~e~e^e^e~e~e^e^e.

Spooky stuff that helps explain a lot of the dysfunction flowing out from Microsoft.
