I wish there were an EU alternative to Kagi. All other search engines pale in comparison and I just can’t deal with ads any more. I can only hope that Proton are looking in to search

What? There are many companies supporting Linux commercially: Collabora (Who support specifically Libre office etc, Igalia)

Not seen an answer to this question so thought others might find it useful: I spoke to Nationwide about the "0% green additional borrowing" feature and they said that DIY is not allowed. The way it works is that you get a quote for something that you want to do from a company give it to them and they pay the company directly. So you never see any of the money.

Might be useful for some but I'm going to save money by doing it myself as the prices these companies charge is extortionate.

I have been arguing with my local council planning department to install external window shutters for years. Unfortunately installing them requires paying for planning permission, which requires an architect. It's absolutely crazy

I created a very simple hacky card to download and display Met Office rain images for a few hours ahead. It is probably very buggy so use at your own risk :) Unfortunately the API only supports the whole UK or Europe at the moment so can't zoom in. But I find it quite useful.

Unfortunately they have even killed being able to just encrypt data. Because of the key disclosure law the police can request the password/key for any data in your possession regardless of whether it is random data or not. If you can't, you go to jail. Literally everyone is a criminal.

Not even China or Russia have this type of authoritarian control over communication.
