I'm upvoting because this should actually be unpopular. Intrusive ads are bad but less intrusive ones let you know who the patrons are of the otherwise highly expensive services you enjoy. That all of this gets paid for with ad money is nothing less than a miracle.

If you don't want to see ads then don't give them your notice! I like being informed when new products go to market.

The WANT of money is corrupting itself. Actually having the money itself is not needed. People who want money will destroy your little system, and throw your country into chaos, ruination and poverty, united by a conspiracy of common interests.

I would rather just regulate what needs regulating, within reason, with a gentle hand, and only a strong hand with the worst of violations. For the record, I would be much harsher than the us has tended to be when it comes to pollution, etc.

Why does god? The vast preponderance of abortions happen in the same window as the vast preponderance of miscarriages, which can happen to 87 percent of fertilized embryos in the case of in vitro fertilization, and some other smaller but also shockingly high number for in vivo fertilization.

Also if you don't want 'innocent babies' to be killed why have such a hard on against prophylactics and plan b, especially since it takes 24h for sperm and egg to actually merge DNA and form a new organism? Why have an issue with birth control or porn or premarital conjugation and why make it everyone else's issue?

If women are getting abortions in the same period that God randomly gives miscarriages, I tend to think they are actually part of the same thing and that the feeling the prospective mother has about her future child being unwanted is just one final 'God given' protection against creating something broken.

And yet they are inconsistent on companies that pollute air food and water. Somehow when corporations do it knowingly for the profit motive it's God's will despite causing miscarriages and birth defects en masse.

To be fair, not every Chinese restaurant knows how to slice duck properly. The proper way slices the meat and skin off of the bones, so that each piece has a bit of meat and skin, and presents the flesh separately from the bones.

Some places though just hack into the carcass so that every piece has bone. They say it's 'fun.' I as an ethnic Chinese say it's ridiculous. I have had it done right and I have had it done poorly and surprisingly the price point is the same! Some places really skimp on the seasoning too, at the same price point.

Other dishes tend to be fairly similar across different restaurants but it seems like with duck you can really tell who gives a shit / was trained properly as a chef.

I'd rather have a windfall tax that taxes some high percentage of all profits beyond a certain percentage in order to disincentivize this sort of profiteering.
