lol, why did you end it with a blue screen? what will happen is, that all parts of the system, still in memory, will still kinda work and all opened files contents will be available until closed. so the system slowly glitches and becomes unusable. you may see a ton of errors or graphical glitches, depending on what you did. your launcher may become empty and you can't start more apps. all non-builtin commands in your shell won't work and you'll get weird errors that your current dir and your home dir is missing.
the question is: is it worse to have russian savages rampaging and raping in your country longer or using that crap to drive them out sooner :/

For me it was Enlightenment DR16 (discontinued). you could make themes with shaped borders (transparent regions, buttons and titles anywhere, even overlapping into the window a bit), have it remember window positions, change border style for a window (e.g. drawer, so it can be collapsed sideways) and it would not steal focus. it had really good effects and features. I miss it a lot in Wayland. Check the web for some screenshots, if you want to be inspired.
