The number of farm operations filing for bankruptcy remains at historically low levels but has jumped sharply this year as a crisis in the agricultural economy drags on.

In the second quarter, there were 93 filings, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, up from 88 in the first quarter and nearly double the 47 at the end of 2024.

That’s still well below the recent high of 169 in early 2020, and filings nosedived in the two years that followed. But since 2022, farm bankruptcies have been trending higher.

Bondi told Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) she would not discuss conversations she had with Trump about Comey's indictment.

Bondi and Trump met for dinner at the White House the night before the indictment. Bondi also redirected questions about the Epstein investigation into scrutiny toward Democrats.

Bondi asked Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) if he had questioned her predecessor, Merrick Garland, on Epstein. She also brought up Democratic ties to LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, an alleged Epstein associate. Between the lines: Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) also asked Bondi who ordered her to flag Epstein records related to President Trump.

"I'm not going to discuss anything about that with you, senator," Bondi said. Durbin responded: "Eventually you're going to have to answer for your conduct in this. You won't do it today, but eventually you will."

I'm by no means unable to read or comprehend text, I'm smart enough for life and people often compliment my intellect. Big tickets on myself I know.

However when it comes to reading anything it often takes me twice as long, just a meme with text or anything.

If I don't concentrate on it I miss words or like an Ai hallucination I put random words into the sentence or muddle them around making things often hilarious for myself until I re read the text to get the actual meaning.
