Meet Ron DeSantis Ron DeSantis for President A native Floridian with blue-collar roots, Ron was raised in Dunedin by his mother, a nurse, and father, who installed cable boxes. He attended Dunedin High School and worked his way through Yale University, where he was the captain of the varsity baseball team. He also graduated with honors from Harvard Law School, where he earned a commission in the U.S. Navy as a JAG officer.

During his active-duty service, Ron deployed to Iraq in support of the SEAL mission in Fallujah, Ramadi and the rest of Al Anbar province. His military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service and the Iraq Campaign Medal. Ron also served as a prosecutor in Florida, where he put child predators behind bars. He was elected to Congress in 2012 on a platform of government accountability, advocating for term limits and a balanced budget amendment.

In Congress, DeSantis spearheaded the fight to expose the weaponization of the IRS against conservatives. He also fought to hold accountable the rogue federal agencies involved in manufacturing the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory. As a veteran, DeSantis was a champion for those who have served our country, pushing for reforms to the VA to better serve veterans and expand support for mental health.

In 2018, Ron DeSantis was elected the 46th Governor of Florida. As governor, he has fought for what’s right and taken the arrows for the people he represents. During the darkest days of 2020, when the corrupt establishment, bureaucracy, and corporate media united to force lockdowns and mandates on Americans, DeSantis stood up for freedom – even when it wasn’t popular.

Grounded in his unshakeable belief in America’s founding principles, Governor DeSantis has enacted a bold agenda to transform Florida into a blueprint for the Nation’s revival. Governor DeSantis has delivered win after win on conservative priorities:

Saving livelihoods from job-killing lockdowns and vaccine mandates Protecting citizens from the harmful impacts of Biden’s border crisis by enacting E-Verify and other bold policies against illegal immigration, such as banning sanctuary cities Defending parental rights and eliminating CRT Defunding DEI bureaucracy in higher ed and holding tenured professors accountable Waging war on woke power-grabs like ESG and central bank digital currency Enacting the strongest medical freedom laws in the nation Turning Florida into a model for election integrity Protecting the unborn Standing up for the 2nd Amendment by making Florida a constitutional carry state Expanding education freedom Prohibiting land purchases by the CCP and related individuals and entities Lowering prescription drug costs Holding woke corporations and school unions accountable Creating a universal school choice program Delivering record-breaking tax relief Helping families achieve the American dream of homeownership Supporting law enforcement and our veterans Enacting tougher penalties for drug dealers and sex offenders Appointing seven conservative justices to the Florida Supreme Court ...and so much more. After leading Florida with common sense and conviction throughout his first term, DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory of nearly 20 points in 2022. He earned his second term by the largest raw vote margin in state history, winning by more than 1.5 million votes.

But history didn’t stop there:

Governor DeSantis flipped Miami-Dade County red, winning the majority-Hispanic urban county by double digits. Conventional wisdom assumed this was impossible for a Republican – as recently as 2016, Hillary Clinton won Miami-Dade County by nearly 30 points.

Governor DeSantis flipped several other blue counties red, including Palm Beach County. He won 62 out of 67 counties overall.

Compared to his first statewide election in 2018, Governor DeSantis was up +19% with Independents, up +30% with Hispanics, and up +9% with women.

Governor DeSantis delivered a record-setting victory with battle-tested leadership, a bold policy agenda, and never backing down to corporate media or special interests. As he said at his inauguration: “When the world lost its mind – when common sense suddenly became an uncommon virtue – Florida was a refuge of sanity, a citadel of freedom for our fellow Americans and even for people around the world. In captaining the ship of state, we choose to navigate the boisterous sea of liberty rather than cower in the calm docks of despotism.”

Governor DeSantis has ensured that Florida is a free and safe place to raise a family. Thanks to the governor’s leadership, Floridians enjoy a low tax burden, quality education opportunities, and a bulwark in place against the Biden Administration’s overreach and various elite power grabs that seek to force people to adopt a particular ideology. Thanks to the governor’s vision, this year’s legislative session delivered the most ambitious conservative policy victories in Florida’s history.

This year, Governor DeSantis signed:

Record tax relief ESG prohibitions Measures counteracting the influence of the CCP The strongest medical freedom protections in the nation. Reforms reducing the costs of medications by delivering transparency Bold higher education reforms; defunding DEI Improvements to our state’s infrastructure Tough-on-crime, law and order measures, including the death penalty for child rapists The strongest measures protecting Florida from Biden’s border crisis Reforms for paycheck protection, holding accountable wayward school unions Prohibitions on centralized digital currencies in Florida No leader has accomplished more for his state than Governor DeSantis. He is now sharing his bold vision with the country, leading a movement to deliver the Great American Comeback.

Ron is married to Casey DeSantis, an Emmy Award-winning television anchor. Together, they’re the proud parents of their daughters, Madison and Mamie, and their son, Mason.

Contrast this to Trump who to this day refuses to acknowledge what a disaster the covid vaccines were.

DeSantis and RFK Jr are the only 2 presidential candidates that would give us a hope of finding out the truth.

Monique Worrell, Florida state attorney for the 9th Judicial Circuit, failed to prosecute 43% of arrests - releasing 16,243 defendants without prosecution, according to state AG Ashley Moody.

"Ms. Worrell is dismissing during the same period nearly four times the number of defendants as are being dismissed or not charged in Palm Beach County," she said, adding "It is not normal for a prosecutor to come out repeatedly after we have seen tragedy strike and insinuate, 'It's not my fault.' I submit to you this was, in a way, to distract from where fault should have lay."

Even violent felonies were only prosecuted 41% of the time, according to Moody.

"In February, I called on SA Monique Worrell to deliver the justice and accountability needed for the families affected by shootings in her district and said her suspension would be fully justified. She failed to do her job. Families deserve better."

I smell a rat. The article said:

“All those theories that were put out did not prove to be true,” Mr. DeSantis said in response to a reporter’s question after a campaign event at a brewery in Northeast Iowa.

But did not say what the reporter's question was. Why not?

Later in the article, it has another quote saying Maduro didn't steal the election, but no context as to what he was asked. .

“It was not an election that was conducted the way I think that we want to, but that’s different than saying Maduro stole votes or something like that,” he said. “Those theories, you know, proved to be unsubstantiated.”

As I have said before, I am a DeSantis fan, but view the fact Florida still uses voting machines a deal breaker.

But I am very suspect of this New York Times article. Has anybody seen a video?

.@FitchRatings’ downgrade of the nation's credit rating from AAA to AA+ is a result of frivolous spending and ballooning national debt for programs like the CARES and "Inflation Reduction" Acts. Florida's AAA rating remains the standard-bearer, serving as the nation's blueprint for fiscal responsibility.

In FL, we have run large budget surpluses and have paid off nearly 25% of the state debt.

National economic decline is a choice.

“Our district will no longer participate in any attempt to divide us by race or advance the notion that we are not created equal,” the new district administrator said. “As the former head of the Central Florida Urban League, a civil rights organization, I can say definitively that our community thrives only when we work together despite our differences.”

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District said the previous district tended to award contracts “based on racially and gender driven goals.”

“Today, the bottom half of households have less wealth than they did in 1989. Meanwhile, the top 10 percent have added $29 trillion in wealth. COVID lockdowns accelerated that trend. It diminished the purchasing power of the middle class and upended our workforce such that millions of people left the workforce and still to this day have not returned.

“Over six million prime-age men are neither working nor looking for work at all,” DeSantis said. “In 1953, the labor participation rate of that cohort was 98 percent. Today, it’s 89 percent.”

The standards are clear in teaching that, despite their enslavement, blacks developed skills that “in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit” — not that slavery was beneficial to them. It’s worth mentioning that the College Board’s African American studies course includes similar teachings.

But these facts didn’t stop Republicans like Scott from advancing Harris’ false narrative about the subject. When asked about it late last week, Scott embraced the lie and used it to attack fellow 2024 primary contender Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“I think a lot of the stuff – when he hits me with the juvenile insults – I think that helps me,” DeSantis said. “I don’t think voters like that.”

“I think they look at it and they realize, like – you know what, that’s not effective,” he continued. “I don’t think it’s effective, so I actually don’t mind it at all.”

“I think it’s just a reminder why there are so many millions of voters who will never vote for him going forward.”

RT @RonDeSantis@twitter.com: “To the Left, citizenship is meaningless. Illinois is now letting illegal aliens become police officers.

In Florida, we took action to combat the harms of Biden’s border crisis. We also value our citizen officers who serve and protect our communities.

As President, I will restore American sovereignty.

No illegal alien should have authority over any American citizen. It is a sad commentary on the state of America that this is even a debate.

And perhaps this is for the best - Certain social concepts simply cannot coexist and it's better that leftists who exploit children as props for activism not live so close to conservatives and moderates that view this practice as abhorrent. Certainly all sides come out happier (except maybe the unfortunate children being groomed), and surely the majority of Floridians are glad to see such people go.
