Samsung Galaxy XCover 6Pro
Benchmade Bugout
Wurkkos TS22

Probably also going to get the Rovyvon Aurora for my keychain so that I'll always have a flashlight independent of what pants I'm wearing. Also taking suggestions for a compact measuring device. Even a 50cm long one would cover 95% of my needs.

Got a cheap metal wallet. Decided to give it a paint job for kicks. It'll probably chip over time, but the last time I used a sealant on a project the paint smeared everywhere so I'm hesitant.

Besides the usual, I carry some basic first aid in there.

I've wanted to make something like this for a while, so I'm glad it's on the market. However, you're limited to just 5 tools plus a bit driver. Lots of interesting tools to choose from though. If the tool count rivaled a medium sized Victorinox with the same form factor, I'd consider it.

Pocket organizer:

  • SOG Powerpint
  • Bits
  • Irega 100mm adjustable wrench
  • Refillable lighter
  • Flashlight
  • Snap blade knife
  • Pen
  • Zip ties
  • Hot glue
  • Paper clips
  • Ferrocerium rod

Attached to keys:

  • Sennheiser SoundProtex concert earplugs with included pouch
  • Normal earplugs

I made the pocket organizer 2 or 3 years ago. It has some holes but i plan to make a new one when I upgrade my multi-tool (Roxon Flex most likely). The new one will have a zipper for the central pouch so it opens like a book with small pockets inside.

The keys are on a screw with some washers and o-rings as spacers (I don't like rattling keys).

Aside from these I also carry my phone, wallet and Casio W800H-1BV.

For those who don't know already, Hacksmith Industries made their own multitool. A very lightweight titanium Canadian made multitool featuring an m390 blade and several other features.

1.5 mm diameter, 300 lbs tensile strength, can be used as a friction saw. Pull on the aglet to easily unravel.

I've made a Paracord version of this, but kevlar is thinner and stronger.

This ring is meant to be used for counting while knitting, but I wear it to keep track of prayers. It's useless in the dark though, so I painted it with resin mixed with Lit glow powder. It's supposed to glow even if charged with heat, so we'll see if body heat does the job.

Not my finest work, but it'll do.

Simple items (infosec.pub)

  • Victorinox Compact
  • humangear Spin collapsible spork
  • Silicone band as a wallet, carrying cards, cash and a Rite in the Rain notepad

This is pretty typical for me. If I'm traveling very light I may leave the spork at home and carry a Victorinox Manager. If I'm going to be out and about for a while I usually have Knipex Cobra XS pliers and may swap the knife to a Victorinox Explorer.

I'm pretty happy with this new spork. I've kept a humangear Uno in my bag for general use and I like how sturdy and simple it is. The new Spin model locks open to the same length as the Uno but closes down very short for more compact stowing.

Title. I'd go for the leatherman micra but they have scisors instead of needlenose pliers like most multi tools and I haven't had any luck finding any myself :(

You guys get along with so little. Here's what I never leave the house without, carried in a Fjällräven Greenland size S bag...:

– phone (up until recently I had a tiny Nokia dumbphone for voice calls because it sucks when someone calls on the smartphone during navigation while on motorcycle...) – wallet with home and office keys attached – a metal ring coupled to the bag strap for car / bike keys – case for glasses if I need to take them off (rarely used though) – tiny knife that masquerades as a bottle opener – bag with USB charger, power bank, assortment of short USB cables for all occasions, Arch Linux boot stick – a pen and a couple of permanent markers – travel toothbrush – lighter (I don't smoke but it makes me friends) – some lucky charms: gemstones picked by my daughter tied into a 'sausage' with some stretch fabric – T1D stuff: insulin pens in a gorgeous leather roll made by a friend - glucose meter with accessories - bag with pen needles - plastic jar with lid for used needles - pocket scale for weighing stuff to calculate carbs - glucose tablets and Skittles (great for microdosing carbs)

Not in shot: wrist watch.

My regular carry right now when I step out of the house includes:

  • A leather wallet my grandpa gave me (the circle imprints are from the quarters I use to get a shipping cart at aldi)
  • A hankerchief I made with my freind when she taught me how to use a sewing machine for the first time
  • My trusty Casio a700
  • An old field notes notebook. We had a bunch left over from Geo-Caching when I was in scouts a kid
  • A muji gel pen (I adore these pens 10/10)

And my keys with

  • A keychain from when my friend took me to see a league of legends semifinals that was being played near us
  • Two mini library cards
  • And a medication container I keep melatonin and some ADHD meds in (Non-stimulant, not that I expect cops will care if I'm pulled over 😅)

I fear if I carry anything else today, I'll lose it or cut myself with it.

What is your experience with cheap knives from amazon or others? There are a lot of sub $50 knives there with mostly positive reviews. Are they actually good? Or do you have better cheap options that are not sponsored by amazon? I see brands on there like Lothar or Bergkvist. They actually have decent websites on their own, so I don't know if they are actually that amazon trash or a decent budget brand.

Their quality is a shit. I bought a wave+ 2 years ago, broke within a couple months (spring in pliers broke making pliers unusable). Sent it back and they say it’s not repairable so they give me a different one (mine was laser engraved). Then the replacement breaks (spring that holds pocket clip in place). I don’t even use the Leatherman that much, and wasn’t doing anything that could be outside of light use.

Hiya. I carry a small notebook with me everywhere I go, as I love the tactility of it compared to taking quick notes on a phone. Recently I saw a wallet with a built in notebook, but I dont want to lose my button card ejector on my wallet that I have. Are there any quality wallets with both features, or should I compromise? My goal is to have a minimal amount of items.

I would like something secure (preferably locking) and not made using cheap labor but I can be flexible. Obviously the keybar magnut isn't locking so I'm here exploring other options. I didn't go with the nite ize nite binder because I hear those aren't durable. I've looked at carabiners but either they're not locking or too big.

So far the best contenders I've seen is the keybar medium Magnut which has about 18lbs of pull forcem

  • 6 in 1 Milwaukee Fastback with bit-driver

  • Curated set of bits to fit most occasions.

  • Icon micro ratchet with extension and 1/4 square socket adapter.

  • Cheap 4 mm bit driver, seems like it is the same as the Harbor freight one I've seen before.

  • Knipex 87-100 cobra pliers

  • Mini Bic lighter

  • Bit of glue stick

  • Bit of gaffer tape

  • 16 feet of micro cord

  • A few zip ties cut down to shorter length

  • Tweezer man nail tool that came with nail clippers. I use it a lot for poking, scraping and prying.

It all packs up pretty well in an old earbud case I found at a thrift store.

The only things I still want to add to this kit is the Knipex xs Pliers Wrench and a double sided sharpie.

Seiko SNK809 with one of NATO Strap Co.'s bands

Pixel 6A

Kershaw Skyline

Rovyvon E8 Angel Eyes

BMW E92 335i

a Mini Binder-clip 😂

I need to sharpen my blade, it's really dull. I really like the rovyvon, the only thing I wish it had was a magnetic end and then it would be really awesome. Also I used to have a leather card-holder but I think I'll finally just get a ridge wallet or something similar.

I feel like it's not something you see very often here compared to other items like knives and fidget items.

I have a JEYI 2230 NVMe case with a 1TB drive I keep on my keychain for backups of things that would be annoying to lose like my AntennaPod stats
