What is the earliest mention of Draco's birthday?

Both harrypotter.fandom.com and hp-lexicon.org list 1980 June 5th as his birthday. A JKR tweet does confirm this, but as it was a reply to another user, it seems as though this was already known. Where was the date published prior to 2015?

I don't believe the exact date is ever mentioned in any of the books, though upper and lower bounds could be established based on what year he is in and when he is eligible for apparition tests and such.

Any thoughts?

This comment seems slightly strange once you calculate that Ginny was barely a year old when Bill left for Hogwarts. I guess she was a precocious baby?

At the time, everyone thought that Sirius betrayed James, and murdered Pettigrew and several muggles. Lupin would have believed that he alone knew that Sirius was an animagus.

What reasons might he have had for withholding this information from the Ministry or Dumbledore? Lingering doubts/loyalty? Fear of persecution by association?

The older I get, the more I realize I enjoy more the small details happening in the background (classes, interaction between students, etc.) than the main plot.

I know that cosy fantasy is a thing (I still have to read Legends and Lattes), so I was curious to see if people have other recommendations that could scratch that itch? Ideally with older characters (in their 30s?), that would probably be more relatable than teenagers.

I enjoyed the Magicians series, but it felt very college years focused, and unfortunately those years getting further every year.

For me, it's every time Hedwig gives Harry the eye, like when Professor Grubbly-Plank disappeared into the staff room carrying Hedwig, who was staring at Harry as though unable to believe he would give her away like this.
