Pokémon TCG Pocket

Found a neat little program that lets you play Pokemon TCG against another human OR test decks against yourself.

Pretty cool. I'm learning to play the game against myself with decks I've tested out. It seems to work with all sets too, I think? So far I've just tested it with some base decks.

How am I supposed to keep up my #BLG shit posting when I can't even get a new full art or rainbow rare to show up in Wonder Picks?

Just got the full art Meowth to finish this set.

This one opened and finished with the same EX, and has a dupe of another card too. Better than getting nothing but the whole pack left me with that "what just happened" feeling lol.

What kind of "weird" packs have you pulled?

Turns out you can join private games with the password 'thanks' to find like minded people. It becomes a race to see who can concede first.

A bunch of Ultra Nercozma cosmetics are available for tickets, some look pretty good!

Successfully Wonder Picking high rarity cards is my favorite thing in the game. #BLG keeps them coming!

So I have 2708 cards in my collection

If I filter by rarity, selecting all rarity except PROMO, the game tells me I have 2618 cards

If I filter by selecting all the extensions instead, the game tells me I have 2617 cards

Which means that there is 1 card whose rarity is NOT PROMO, but that is not in any extension. Which is weird.

I also can't find which card it is.

If I filter only promo cards, I find 90 cards, which is consistent with the hypothesis. But doesn't help me find the mystery card.

Just a bit of random curiosity about what others are seeing in this area. The highest rarity I ever see are Rainbow Rares. Once or twice a month is about the most I can remember.

Since they added the Shiny Rares I thought I'd see more of those than I have too. I seem to have better luck pulling them from packs than seeing them in the Wonder Pick area at all.

The craziest Wonder Pick pack I've seen was the "god pack" I posted here awhile back that I ended up getting a Full Art Zapdos from. It makes me wonder (no pun intended) how the algorithm is tuned for Wonder Picks. Is it a pure random chance to see the packs that have high rarity cards, or is there some sort of "dangling carrot" manipulation at play to entice people into spending more money...

What are your thoughts?
