Trick is to get one with the grain going the same direction on both sides. Why I never buy hardwood scaled knifes brand new, you can't tell what they'll slap together. Minor gripe tho.

When we were kids, my brothers and I each got a Victorinox with our names engraved on it when we had the 10th (or 12th, not sure anymore) birthday.

Unfortunately, I lost mine near a cabin in the mountains. It sat out there all winter, and then someone finally found it the next summer and handed it back to us. Of course it was rusted not sharp anymore and the lettering on the name was a bit broken.

That was almost 20 years ago. Recently I had a flash of inspiration and decided to ship the relic to the Victorinox support. They went all‑out: replaced parts, oiled it, sharpened the blade, even re‑printed the cover. They even sent back the old cover because of its sentimental value.

And this for only 25$! Now, it's good as new.

She was a gift from my mom shortly after I started my IT career. It's been a long time since I've needed to carry her, but she lives lovingly in my desk, and is still regularly used.

I can't even begin to guess how many desktops, laptops, and servers she's taken apart and put back together.

I just got my Mini Champ and thinking about traveling with it this year.

I've flown a few times in Canada with my SD mini and haven't had it confiscated before but never tried internationally before.

Rule states 6cm or less but I feel like I'm risking my fancy new knife perhaps, haha
