Most of the remaining ones have bot protection like captchas or CloudFlare DDoS protection. Activity on the Nitter repo has ceased on the master branch but still has maintenance updates on the guest_accounts branch. xcancel.com runs on a fork, https://github.com/unixfox/nitter-fork, which includes a few trivial fixes on top of the guest_accounts Nitter branch.
