Speaking of Teddy Roosevelt, Malifaux has a character who's basically ol' Teddy, but he fights stuff like eldritch dinosaurs and demons.

His alternate model has him with a bow and arrow. Which is not only a stick, but likely allow him to walk softer than with an elephant gun.
