These are good points. Democracy benefits from manufacturing and projecting misery. The power for absolute evil will not be relinquished freely. Her point is likely that there is no greater evil/theft/misery than militarism, and waking up to stop tolerating it is a step to conquering other evil.

I do believe that UBI is a solution to everything. It redistributes power in an "idiocracy proof way", where all government spending options have an alternative of a freedom dividend, and so cost everyone an equal amount of cash that better come with a great reason to spend it.
