I hate this so much!
I used to work a night shift at a service station and around midnight I was meant to throw everything left away so I could clean everything ready for the next day.
Needless to say, every night between 11pm and midnight was free food giveaway bonanza. Every single person that came in I would offer free food from the selection of stuff we had, on nights where the previous shift had made an excessive amount of food I would literally pile people up with food rather than throw anything away.
The truck drivers would love it as I could load them up with stuff for their nights drive. A few times though I found myself feeling not so great from where I'd eaten as much as I could myself just so that stuff doesn't get thrown away.
So many people are increasingly going hungry too the fact these companies throw out so many food, they should be fined an excessive amount per weight of food thrown away IMO.
How can we citizens help? How can employees help without losing their jobs?
Edit: How can managers help, without pissing off the CEO?...
