Getting priced out of beef, getting priced out of eggs, I'm already priced out of chicken and god forbid I want a vegetable besides lettuce or carrots. Hell, bulk rice has doubled in price. "Just don't buy it" contributes nothing of substance and makes you sound like a smug, out-of-touch jerk.

So what is your option? Whine at the cashier when checking out? Literally the only thing you can do to show you are unhappy with the price is NOT BUY IT. That's the only thing you can do.

Also, beef is a carcinogen and terrible for the environment. Beef SHOULD be expensive.

and also, it's the flesh of a vulnerable individual

Er... well I personally have been attending many of the protests about this issue, expanding my home garden and helping to bolster the community food support systems in my area.

But if you're more comfortable whining that's your prerogative I suppose.

I'm not the one whining. I'm fine without beef. I don't know what you are talking about.

I was presenting the options I've taken, other than the one you presented. You know, like you asked me to do? You're the one that brought up whining to a cashier, IDK where that came from either.
