Because the main setting for Cyberpunk 2020 is the United States, asshole. Go be a racist little shit somewhere else.
Another USA setting would be boring though. He isn't wrong about that.
I mean we could do what Deus Ex HR did. Go across the globe... But that means the maps would be smaller

No, the rest of the world has its problems too. The Soviet Union still exists, but it’s slowly turning into modern Russia and is basically ruled by oligarchs.
And that’s one of the better places to live. There’s a lot of places that no longer exist because they were wiped off the map or are unsafe for humans to even venture close to.
