German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Monday he no longer understands the Israeli army's objective in Gaza amid a stepped-up offensive in the Palestinian territory.

"Honestly speaking, I no longer understand what the Israeli army is now doing in the Gaza Strip, with what goal," he told public broadcaster WDR.

Yep, Israel has been clear about it on day one. Maybe Merz should read South Africa's ICJ filing that's filled with quotes that clearly lay out the intentions.

This man, in particular, is genuinely not allowed to acknowledge that. Ze Germans overshot 'don't be antisemitic' so hard that they'll jail Semitic people for pointing out a foreign government is trying to exterminate a Semitic people.

Yeah, it was particularly clear when a bunch of riot cops arrested a Jew with a watermelon kippah for "being anti-Semitic".
