...Is this a simple empirical question? !vegan@lemmy.world has the most monthly active users, followed by !vegan@slrpnk.net.

[–] Blaze@piefed.social 1 points 1 month ago (12 children)

There's also !vegan@lemmy.dbzer0.com, which IIRC was started due do conflict with the slrpnk one.

Just curious to see which one could become the default one, and if there should be some consolidation.

Hey Blaze! There are no conflicts between the 2 communities anymore as the Lemmy.dbzer0.com one is no longer being steered by an astroturfer pushing false narratives about the vegan philosophy.

I’m willing to consolidate them together.

it never was being steered by an astroturfer or someone pushing false narratives about vegan philosophy. it was me.

edit: i don't know why they removed my posts. there were all about people liberating animals.

I can't speak for Sunshine, but your comments like this one may have had something to do with it. Stating that "chickens are only relevant to the extent that it impacts how people relate to one another" definitely reads like speciesism.

[–] nsrxn@scribe.disroot.org 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

that comment doesn't spread any misinformation about vegan philosophy or reflect any kind of astroturfing. I may be speciesist, but that doesn't mean that I can't moderate a vegan community, nor that my posts were somehow inappropriate for such a community.

[–] wolfyvegan@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm not saying that that comment did those things, but someone might become wary of you after reading something like that. Again, I cannot speak for the current mod or her intentions.

[–] nsrxn@scribe.disroot.org 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm pretty salty about being forcibly removed, and having the posts removed, especially for this particular user to be granted mod powers and being the one to remove my posts. adding to that, they are lying now.

this isn't evidence of astroTurfing, nor is it evidence of misrepresenting vegan philosophy.

[–] nsrxn@scribe.disroot.org 1 points 1 month ago

instead of showing public record, why don't you show the posts you purged for no reason and are now lying about

[–] FelixCress@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

There is nothing wrong with either of these comments? He is respectfully stating his views.

[–] nsrxn@scribe.disroot.org 0 points 1 month ago

those comments were not in a vegan community
