It’s harder to control the flow of information on a decentralized platform.

Unlike when the Turkish opposition was banned on Bluesky without recourse.

That's true conceptually, but the Fediverse is too sparse and casual to be an actual catalyst. The best you could say is that members might talk about ideas and issues relatively early compared to much of the wider web, but that only makes it a (fickle) weathervane.
