Amid ongoing scrutiny of President Donald Trump and his administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein child sex trafficking case, newly unearthed video shows Trump taking part as a judge in a beauty pageant that featured models as young as 14 years old.

The video in question shows Trump as one of 10 judges in Elite Model Agency’s 1991 “Look of the Year” competition. Within the video, young women and girls walk in front of Trump and others in order to be judged on both their looks and “personality,” according to the narrator.

LOL. To add to what I said earlier, 7 European countries peg age of consent at 14. To my American mind, pretty gross, but the belief that we gain sexuality and agency on our 18th birthday is weird.

From the girl’s perspective both are abhorrent

Speaking of agency...

Man how did this descent into a whataboutism thread of age of consent? Nothing to do with my question.

That applies to what minors can consent to within frameworks. It never gives a minor the ability to allow for an adult to have sexual interaction with them.

In case you’re new to this: If a 14y old rocks up to you and says wanna fck, presuming you’re the adult, their consent doesn’t matter. it wouldn’t matter if you had written permission from their parent or if both of you had a medical prescription for it.

And it’s a lot healthier for kids at 14 to be able to give or withdraw consent to each other to have sexual experiences rather then it to be outlawed outright. This way they are invited to explore how the law actually can help and protect them, they learn and can teach each other about consent, and it normalises sex so outside adult predators will be less successful at grooming them.

No law is suggesting that we only gain sexual agency at 18.

I think this entire thread is a mishap of lost in translation and lost in culture and conflating concepts of rape, paedophilia and consent.

Not to future readers: mid 2025 the word paedophilia was still red underlined on Apple devices. Go figure.
