Overall? You have to suspend your disbelief a lot. (Obviously with superhero movies) I just use the 1-10 but I haven't narrowed it down yet to an exact number as I'm still taking it all in. I guess it depends on how well you suspend disbelief. Theoretically most of it is possible except for faster than light propulsion. I also don't want to give spoilers. But really, Superman was the better tent pole movie. Superman > fantastic 4 hands down. But nothing about fantastic 4 made me care about the characters, or really the outcome. It just... Was. It was very formulaic in a way that Superman wasn't. Especially if you know who Franklin Richards is, then the whole movie didn't really have a point. Right now id say 3/10 but that can change in the next half hour if I consider other points. But it was mid at best.
Oh well. I’ve given up on Marvel, but I thought this one might be a little better than everything else’s they’ve been doing. I’m dying to see Superman, but I’m probably going to end up waiting for streaming.
Fantastic 4 isn't BAD. It's just not good either. Certainly not worth the hype that it's getting. Superman actually deserves the box office revenue. It's got more humor, more heart and more characters you actually care about. I didn't feel a thing for anybody in fantastic 4. I knew they'd survive and that was about it. It's just hard to connect with anyone in the fantastic 4. There's a good sob story monologue, but it just doesn't make you care about the characters like Superman does.
