Let's not forget that was a settlement. They agreed to pay that price because they thought they'd end up much worse off in court.

another fun fact, is MURDOCH knew something like this would happen to fox, so he purposely seperated fox to its own company away from his newscorp conglomerate, to mitigate the liabilities.
