Have you SEEN the work that AI puts out? If anyone is getting replaced by something that hallucinates basic, trivial things, then your job wasn't exactly secure in the first place.
Have you SEEN some of the decisions made by managers and CEOs? Just because your job was actually important doesn't mean the people who are eliminating it appreciated or were even aware of that fact.
It takes years for a colossus to collapse even after its heart has stopped beating.
It takes even longer for it to realize that it has died.
Oftentimes the crows are picking its bones before it closes its eyes for the final time.
Oh, for sure.
To be fair, upper tier management jobs are the first ones I think should be replaced by AI. They're too emotional and needy and paranoid to make rational choices.
Maybe his job was telling people to eat small rocks?
