I loved this and laughed so much and so heartily! The animation style is so nice and makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

I've not been watching too much anime lately. Is this normal how good it is? Is there a genre for this type of anime?

CITY has been great. I have one more episode left to watch, but I have loved every minute of it. This show would be categorized as a slice of life comedy and it is an outstanding example of the genre. If you end up liking CITY, then I would recommend Nichijou, since it is the same manga author and same animation studio and captures the same style and humor.
