I know right.

I take some comfort in the fact that Microsoft is currently being sued for a couple of things and I hope they get rammed.

But yes. GitHub, an absolute hive of social media grooming and underage access to porn. /s The overreach is becoming more blatant.

This whole saga is pretty absurd and shocking, I'm too cheap to run a VPN but I'll likely have to start selfhosting on a foreign VPS.

omg, this might work out well in the long run

all the morons won't be able to know how to verify and log in

and the far right nutcases will refuse

so they won't be watching sky/fox etc and commenting anymore

they will have less indoctrination and will vote better and be less racist and nasty too

In the meantime I as an isolated disabled adult will lose access to all of my social media accounts plus YouTube, Steam and Github.

Possibly also Lemmy if they decide to go after us. And potentially my Yahoo and Gmail emails (and by extension access to whatever is connected) plus whatever is on their storage. And potentially my Dropbox and Flickr accounts. The list keeps waffling and expanding.

I don’t think that your idea will work as there are other unregulated platforms and irl spaces that this sort use to recruit and radicalise.
