Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

Who the hell says something like that? Like, even in joking.
Same group of people that call for involuntary lethal injections.,
and physically build gallows and noose's in the US Capitol.
I had to look up if it was the same Fox dimwit who said “can’t we just euthanize them?” about the homeless. It’s a different guy.
Same network though.
Not only are they bad people, they some of the very worst of the worst.
They go out of their way to hurt others.
It's hard to imagine for sane people. They're simply not sane, so they're playing by a completely different set of "rules", where there are no rules.
