I have a plan to build a rear rack accessory that is specifically for hauling multiple Costco pizzas whenever I'm hosting a party. Why? Because I can, and living only 5 km from Costco means I should avail myself of biking there rather than having to drive, for something as simple as hot pizza.
How long does 5 km take to bike? Would you go in winter too?
I ask BC I live about 5-10 min from a papa johns, but I would need some kind of extra large insulated grubhub backpack.
About maybe 15-20 minutes, and I'm in California so winter isn't comparable to British Columbia at all. Probably the greatest weather hazard would be rain, but it'd be fairly easy to cover a pizza box.
If it did come to it, I would just get exactly one of those insulated pizza bags, assuming it fits the pizza in buying.
Not OP, but depending on a variety of factors – rights of way, hills, carless paths – my local bike nexus that can get me anywhere in the city takes about 12 minutes to ride to. It's six km.
Wow that is amazing
It's very nice, there are few stops, so it's a fairly easy place to get to.
