Fuck, I literally just unlocked that warbond yesterday for those two strategems.

Do plants feel pain?

From what I've read so far, unfortunately, it seems like they might. Plants can communicate with each other and form underground resource networks with other plants, fungi, and microorganisms. Including for illness, boring bugs and pain responses. The smell of fresh cut grass is one of those warning/pain responses.

I've wanted to do some bonsai succulents, but the process towards any living thing seems cruel and painful.

The first thing to be abandoned as soon as the highways fill up with stalled/crashed/flooded cars.

Huh, their writing is a lot more formal and flowery than I thought. Interesting!

I think you might be talking to the wrong people. I know many people in happy marriages, male and female.

God, I'm so looking forward to a time when science, peace and environmental research are at the forefront of the world's focus again.

One of my friends was a rural police officer, which I didn't know. Dude is super friendly and queer. Unfortunately he had a lot of terribly sad stories of AD&D and DUIs. He finally called it quits when one woman rode up an industrial garage door to impress her friend and got lethally caught in it. Found her friend holding her legs to try and save her. Too many terrible things happened to nice but terribly misguided (or drunk) people.

I think that job hurt his heart.

Also the colonization of Africa to steal all their gold and minerals while propping up warlords in exchange for armed Russian mercs that crush dissent. That's happening right now.

Ehhh, it's still a thing. I had burn in on my S9, and I babied that thing explicitly to prevent burn in. And that was after 4-5 years. My desktop monitors are nearly a decade old starting next year (wow, 1440p still has amazing staying power).

I'd definitely worry about burn-in if you have Teams open for nine hours a day and the taskbar on. It's crazy to me that phones still burn in from casual use. :/

I paid $65 bucks for 32gb ddr4 3600mhz around 2020. Crazy to see ram prices now.

I cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol just now, in case it's a fungal infection. Last watering was on the ~18th of last month, before it overwinters with little to no water. It's soil is a mix of extreme grit with a mixed shell of more normal soil around the outside. Terracotta pot. It gets exactly seven hours of bright, direct artificial light under a 200w grow light each day.

The only bugs around are a few fungus gnats that rode in on produce a few months ago. Any advice would be helpful! I'm trying not to carve into it unless absolutely necessary, as it's only about as tall as a pencil.

TIL Nancy Pelosi seriously went to bat for gay people during the AIDS epidemic, despite it being a near universally unpopular position in the 80s. Threw hands with the Regan administration for being dicks as well.

Ideally without hazardous chemicals.

Does dish soap and hot water work?

I currently am using a wired Corsair iron claw, but it's rubber sides are starting to become bald from wear, and Corsair doesn't sell replacement parts. I love a mouse with side buttons, a wing, and a DPI toggle. But finding mice that are big enough to be comfortable is pretty rare. I've loved the Logitech g602 and Ironclaw so far.

Anything similar to the above, just without rubber? I prefer wired mice.

Even low-level government employees like elementary school teachers and nurses have been ordered to hand in their passports, to enforce “discipline.”

Only a matter of time till things start going this way. For Super Earth.

Of the 121 pedestrians killed in traffic last year, 120 were struck by a car while one person died after being hit by an electric bike, according to city transportation department data compiled by Transportation Alternatives.

TIL that crunches and situps are bad for your spine. And sitting for long periods of time.
