A community dedicated to the universe of Warhammer 40k, a tabletop setting in the far, distant future.
This is a general community for 40k miniatures, art, lore discussion, and gameplay discussion.
Rules
- Keep it civil.
- No memeposts/shitposts. Memes are great but direct them to grimdank.
- Please mark any posts containing realistic nudity or realistic excessive gore/violence as NSFW; this rule mainly applies to cosplay and realistic drawings rather than miniatures. Being that 40k is inherently violent, this is a judgement call, and mods may occasionally request posters add tags.
- No contemporary politics, no political debates. This is a space to enjoy the hobby and get away from the doomscrolling.

I've done a few missions where we ran a BFG and 40k game next to eachother. If ships were within a certain zone, they could provide cover fire to the ground, and there were objectives on the ground that could shoot at the ships. It was a sort of 2v2 game
It was pretty fun, but it quickly revealed that BFG is a MUCH faster game than 40k. We ended up having to take breaks between BFG turns to let the ground war have any useful effect.
You could do the same with Epic and 40k, having a "raid" at some important objective, while the armies duke it out. Whoever hits objectives on one table gets strategems or reinforcements in the other table.
I love this idea!
